Festival of Choirs

Landry Duvall, Director of Music Ministries, Idlewild Presbyterian Church, Memphis, TN

The Presbyterian Association of Musicians Mid-South Region is excited to partner with Idlewild Presbyterian Church in hosting the Mid-South Festival of Choirs. This two-day choral festival will take place at Idlewild Presbyterian Church and is open to all singers in church choirs throughout the region. Led by Landry Duvall and accompanied by special guest Dr. Patrick Scott, the festival includes a conference choir and culminates with a concert led by the festival choir.

This event will bring together volunteer choirs from across our region. Anchored by the 30-voice Idlewild Chancel Choir, participants will gather to learn music together and sing a concert. Additionally, there will be two events offered to participants: a service of worship celebrating the gifts of all musicians in faith communities and an organ recital.

For directors of choirs, additional breakout sessions may be available. Meals and fellowship will take place at Idlewild Presbyterian Church.

Registration Fee includes:

  • Worship service led by the Idlewild Chancel Choir and clergy
  • An organ recital by Dr. Patrick Scott
  • Breakout sessions for choir directors
  • Fellowship with like-minded church musicians
  • Memphis BBQ
